The Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to wine country to their very first road course event of the 2019 season. Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 (3 p.m. ET) is always must-see action and this weekend’s race should not be any different.

Toyota has had the best rate this year. It’s won nine of the 15 races in 2019. What if I told you in Sonoma they’ve won four of the previous seven there too? This could be another Toyota series Sunday.

WILDCARD RACE
This weekend – two weeks from now at Daytona – will shake the playoff standings drastically. Currently, only six different drivers have won in 2019. That leaves 10 wildcard spots available. However, with a road course and a superspeedway being just two of the next 3 races on the season, we can see a new winner coming shortly.
If one of those winners happens to be a long shot, that takes a playoff spot away from someone. That’s why the next 3 weeks will have a huge say in who makes the playoffs. The bottom of the playoff standings are so tight and just two wildcard races and poor fortune in them could influence who get in and who doesn’t come September.
Kyle Busch is the current betting favorite to win the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at +250, followed closely by Harvick and Truex Jr. at +600, Joey Logano +750, Chase Elliot and Brad Keselowski in +800, and Denny Hamlin at +1,600.
